Corinth Democratic Primary Election Results

Corinth, Mississippi (WCBI) – The Democratic primary was held for three positions in Corinth on Tuesday.

In unofficial results, Ralph Dance defeated Ben Gann 1,252 to 1,135 votes in the primary for the chief of police job.  Gann will face Republican Fred Gooch in the October 14th general election.

Incumbent Mike Hopkins garnered 1,454 votes and defeated challenger Jennifer McCoy. She received 849 votes.  Hopkins will get a chance to defend his seat against Republican John Orman in the general election.

In the Ward 4 race, incumbent J.C. Hill received 326 votes to Steve Hill’s 266 tally.

65 affidavit ballots will be counted a week from tomorrow.
