Creationist to Speak at West Corinth Baptist Church

CORINTH, Miss. (Daily Corinthian) — Dr. Grady S. McMurtry is out to change the way people look at the world.

The Biblical Scientific Creationist and founder of Creation Worldview Ministries is slated to present the series “Creation Our Foundation” at West Corinth Baptist Church beginning Thursday night. The noted international speaker will also be at the church on both Friday and Saturday.

“He has an entertaining and humorous style of presenting scientific fact and Bible truths,” said West Corinth pastor Seth Kirkland. “His insights into the events of the past will stir your spirit and affirm in your heart the truth about biblical record of creation, the flood and man.”

McMurtry was an evolutionist for 20 years prior to being convinced of the scientific foundation for the creation viewpoint.

“Dr. McMurtry addresses the issue on the basis of science and contends for the truth of the biblical account of creations and its tremendous relevance to our lives,” said Kirkland. “Everyone will be captivated by his grasp of the facts, open style and love for the Lord.”

The mission of Creation Worldview Ministries is to take truths of biblical foundations to the church, both domestic and foreign and to the secular world. The ministry is an evangelistic and discipling one which seeks to bring salvation and maturity in Jesus Christ by lifting Him up that He might draw all people unto Himself.

Topics for the series at West Corinth include: The Waters Cleaved; Mt. St. Helens; Why I Believe in a Young Creation; and Dino-Mania – The Dinosaurs, The Bible and The Fossil Record.

Sessions on Thursday and Friday begin at 7 p.m. Times for Saturday’s event is 9 and 10:30 a.m.

“Dr. McMurtry is a recognized international speaker on the subject of creation versus evolution, both from a biblical viewpoint as well as that of secular science,” said Kirkland. “I encourage everyone to attend this life changing series.”
