Dennis Man Charged with Felony Dog Theft

PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Prentiss County authorities have arrested a man they believe is responsible for stealing a dog.

According to a press release provided by the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department, 29-year-old Justin Sauls was arrested Monday in connection with the alleged theft.

Authorities say they are continuing to investigate whether Sauls is connected with a string of other pets which had been reported missing.

Anyone who might have purchased an animal from Sauls or other suspicious individuals is urged to contact their local authorities.

According to the release, a sizable number of the dogs reported stolen across northeast Mississippi are pure bred.

Sauls was charged with felony theft of a dog. He’s out of jail on a $5,000 bond.
