Dense Fog Expected Tonight, Warm Again Monday

A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for tonight. Counties included in this advisory: Attala, Clay, Choctaw, Lowndes, Noxubee, Oktibbeha & Winston.

Conditions will be most favorable for dense fog formation between 3AM and 9AM Monday morning. Visibilities will likely drop down to a 1/4 mile or less at times. If you have to drive overnight or early tomorrow morning use extreme caution and drive slowly.

Tonight: Clouds will increase to Mostly Cloudy. Light south wind. Lows in lower 50s.

Monday: We’ll once again enjoy an unseasonably warm day. Highs will climb into the middle 70s and skies will be Partly Cloudy. Southerly winds will be between 5 and 10 mph. Dense fog also possible Monday night.

Tuesday: A cold front will move through Tuesday/Tuesday night and showers and storms will be likely during this time.  A few strong storms look possible during the afternoon and evening. Main threats will be strong wind gusts 40-50mph.

Afternoon temperatures in the middle 60s will return to the viewing area Wednesday with mostly sunny skies.
