Video: Donor Gives $1.2 Million Toward TCPS Building

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) -Tupelo Christian Preparatory School receives a one point two million dollar donation. The family’s donation comes as the school begins its “A Season to Grow” campaign for a campus expansion. An almost fourteen thousand square foot middle school will be built using the money.

“The gift means a lot to TCPS in general, just to solidify our future and also open up areas for growth for the school, we have been doing well with what we have , been very blessed but this is a huge blessing on us as a school and opportunity to really serve all the families in Northeast Mississippi. ”

Work on the new building should be complete by August. A new cafeteria, field house and playground are also in the works.

TUPELO, Miss. (Press Release) — An anonymous donor has committed to partner with Tupelo Christian Preparatory School to meet the enrollment demand.

The development will be a 13,400-square-foot building equipped with 10 classrooms and administrative space. The building process will begin immediately to allow the project to be available for the 2015-16 school year. The entire project detailed within the current Capital Campaign will offer a Middle School, Dining Hall, Field House, and Playground.

According to TCPS Board President, Dr. Benjamin Blossom, “Words cannot express our sincere gratitude for this donation to help solidify our future growth. This type of gift does not come along often. With the growth TCPS has experienced in the past few years, this allows us to continue our efforts in providing high quality Christian education in Northeast Mississippi and preparing tomorrow’s Christian leaders. It is a true blessing to now see the culmination of years of strategic planning and even more recent facility planning.”

The multi-million dollar campaign began officially in January 2015. The donor is giving $1.2 million, bringing to $1.5 million available for the project. Upon completion of these projects, the campaign will continue to raise funds in order to complete all future needs on campus.
