TUPELO, Miss. – (WCBI) A Northeast Mississippi company will be the exclusive manufacturer of a line of furniture inspired by one of the most popular cable television shows.

Tuesday morning, officials from Prime Designs Incorporated unveiled its new line of official Duck Commander upholstery, furniture and case goods.

During a press conference at the Community Development Foundation, company reps said the exclusive agreement with the Duck Commander Company, owned by the Robertson family, of the successful A&E show “Duck Dynasty” will mean 80 to 120 jobs over the next year.

“We have a sales rep he was watching the show one night, sitting in the middle of a recliner and he said why can’t our recliner be on there instead of the one that’s there, let’s try to work this out he started calling on them and it just went from there, pretty much,” says Tim Richey, owner of Prime Designs Furniture.

The furniture is already being made at the company’s Lee County plant. “Duck Commander” was founded in 1972 by Phil Robertson. The company makes duck calls and other hunting equipment. The Robertson family have become worldwide celebrities since the show “Duck Dynasty” premiered several years ago.
