COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Applications are available and parents are starting to ask questions about EMCC’s Early College High School.

50 students from Lowndes, Clay, Oktibbeha and Noxubee Counties will be accepted to the four year program.

The first, in a series, of informational sessions was held today in Columbus.

This also gives educators to address any concerns parents might have.

“Some of the questions that we have gotten is, how competitive is the process because we are only taking 50 students from four different counties. They have wanted to know what scheduling might look like, what the day to day scheduling might look like for students,” said Early College High School Principal Jill Savely.

An information session will be held Tuesday in Starkville from 12 P.M. – 5 P.M. at MSU’s Research and Curriculum Unit, Magnolia Room.

The tour continues to West Point on Wednesday. The meeting will be held at the West Point/Clay Growth Alliance.

Macon is the next stop on the tour Thursday. It will be held at the Noxubee Civic Center.

All meetings will be held from 12 P.M. until 5 P.M.
