WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – The 2nd annual East Mississippi Community College Art Show showcased some regional artists in West Point Saturday afternoon.

The event at Bryan Public Library showed off 50 pieces of art by 25 students from EMCC, as well as five faculty members.
Works of art of display included 3D pieces, pottery, pastels, pen and ink and much more. The art work will be hung in the library the entire month of March and a few pieces of work are for sale. Refreshments were provided at the show.

“Oh I’m a strong advocate of the arts and our community is also. West Point is just an artistic community and we have a lot of people in town who enjoy coming to see things like this and we want to do more and more of it,” said Art Council President Monte Brasfield.

The West Point – Clay County Arts Council sponsored the event.
