Create Your Own Special Mandala
Date(s) - 11/02/2012-11/03/2012
November 2-3, 2012
A mandala is a circle design. It is an integrated structure organized.
It represents wholeness–a cosmic diagram that reminds us of our relation to God, the world that extends both beyond and within us. It is used in many cultures and religious traditions.
Participants will receive instruction on how to be- come immersed in this relaxing, meditative art. No formal art experience is needed. Every mandala design is beautiful and is a creation between God and the artist.
Feel the presence of God around you as you work. Learn to express yourself in the mandala. Enjoy a quiet peaceful time while realizing the creativity within.
Bring a geometric compass (as seen in the photo) and a 360* protractor. Items need not be fancy—just school supplies.
Mary Margaret Hickman is a retired teacher who fell in love with mandalas several years ago. Now living in Ridgeland, she has given workshops in the Jackson area.
Donation: $95, this includes $15 for supplies. Begins with 6:30 pm dinner on Friday to 3:30 pm on Saturday
The retreat is being held at The Dwelling Place in Brooksville, MS. For more information call us at 662-738-5348 or check our website at dwellingplace.com.
