Open registration for the spring 2014 semester at East Mississippi Community College begins Monday, Nov. 11.

EMCC offers on-campus classes throughout its six-county district at the Golden Triangle and Scooba campuses, Columbus Air Force Base, the West Point-Clay County Center, Lion Hills Center, Macon and Naval Air Station Meridian. EMCC also offers a full range of online/eLearning classes.

“Spring is a great time to begin classes at EMCC, and there are many reasons students choose the spring. Maybe you’ve had a rocky start at a university and want to pick up a class or re-focus. Maybe your work schedule has allowed you to re-start your college education,” said District Recruiting Coordinator Michael Black.

“Whatever your situation, we have a schedule that works for you. And, as always, financial aid and scholarships are available to those who qualify.”

Here’s a look at the options:

On-campus classes: Traditional, on-campus classes begin at all EMCC locations on Wednesday, Jan. 8. The final registration period is Jan. 6-7. The full-term semester ends in early May.
Mini-semester: At many EMCC locations, mini-semesters are also available. These are also called intensive semesters because they compress classes into a much shorter period of time. Classes for mini-semesters start the same day, Jan. 8, but end in early March.

Online classes: Online/eLearning classes begin Monday, Jan. 13. The registration deadline is Jan. 10.
