COLUMBUS, Miss. – More than 50 employers, ranging from professional to manufacturing to educational, are signed up for this year’s 18th annual Golden Triangle Employment Expo.

The job fair is set for Wednesday, Oct. 2, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Pohl Gymnasium on The W’s campus.

Towanda Williams, assistant director of career services, said many of the area employers and some new additions are participating this year.

“We are excited about the quality of companies that will be represented and being able to reach out to individuals in the community and provide them with employment and educational opportunities,” she said.

Job seekers are encouraged to bring their resumes and a positive attitude, Williams said, noting some employers may be ready to hire on the spot.

“You only get one change to make a first impression,” she said, adding applicants should come dressed for success.

Companies interested in setting up a booth, may do so up until Tuesday, Oct. 1.
