ICC’s, Northeast’s Chamber Singers to perform joint concert at First Presbyterian-Tupelo

Itawamba Community College’s Chamber Singers will join with the Northeast Mississippi Community College Chamber Choir as part of the Sanctuary Artist Series at First Presbyterian Church in Tupelo at 3 p.m., Mar. 23. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
The program includes traditional choral music, and the students will invite the audience to sing along with them on several hymn arrangements. The singers will be accompanied by a professional brass quintet, the church’s new Boston grand piano and the Laterneau pipe organ. Members of the Tower Ringers, the church’s handbell choir, will also perform with the choirs.
“We hope that lovers of traditional choral music and hymns will join us for this exciting program,” said Dr. Bob Taylor, co-director of ICC’s Chamber Singers.
Members of ICC’s Chamber Singers include Summer Adams of Amory; Kelli Aurell, Roman Ramirez, both of Ackerman; Lauren Blankenship of Maryville, Tenn.; McKenzie Chaney of Fulton; Cori Christian, Emma Jernigan, Layla Webb, all of Mooreville; Claire Conway, Jacob Harrison, Katie Weathers, all of Tupelo; Jake Cosby of Batesville; Olivia Dunnam of New Albany; Sydney Harrell, Tyler Young, both of Houston; Meghan Higginbottom of Belmont; Laurel Jobe of Weir; MeyIndie McCreary of Mantachie; Brittany McGee, Cody Webster, both of Ecru; Tray Standifer of Smithville; Michaela Hardy of Hernando; Alexas Ellis, Sondeika Miller, both of Horn Lake; Anna Claire Harwell of Iuka; and Kristy McNair of Olive Branch. Accompanists will be Ray Harris and Jeff Myers. Directors of the choirs are Kathy Anderson, Karen Davis and Bob Taylor.
