It is estimated that thousands of people are in recovery from substance use disorders in Golden Triangle area. These people are contributing to businesses, connecting with their families, and giving back to the community. If more people are to join them on a path of recovery, action is needed – now. Too many people are still unaware that prevention works, treatment is effective and people recover.

Individuals who embrace recovery achieve improved mental and physical health, as well as stronger relationships and a sense of self-worth. Substance use disorders do not discriminate – they affect people of all ethnicities, ages, genders, geographic regions, and socioeconomic levels.

In an effort to further educate communities about the pathways to recovery and to support people in recovery, every September, people throughout the Nation celebrate National Recovery Month. Pines and Cady Hill celebrates National Recovery Month by offering a series of FREE alcohol and drug screening assessments. An assessment is a brief series of questions that will provide the individual and family members additional insight in helping to determine if the person might have an alcohol or drug problem. Assessments typically cost $150. Admitting there is a problem and seeking help is one step closer to recovery. To schedule a FREE assessment during the month of September, please call 327-7916.
