Rick, who will be available to sign autographs beginning at 6:30 p.m., will be the guest of honor at a reception immediately following the pageant. During the pageant, she will sing “Can’t Help Lovin’ Dat Man” from Showboat, which she will have performed the week before at the Miss America Scholarship Pageant in Atlantic City, N.J.

Rick, who is a student at the William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine, competed in the Miss Mississippi Pageant as Miss Amory Railroad Festival. Her platform is Full Plates, Healthy States, which addresses the necessity of providing healthy, nutritious food to those who suffer from hunger, which has become an epidemic in the United States. The pageant, which is a preliminary to the Miss Mississippi Pageant, will also feature performances by the ICC singers and The INHUMANITIES. Admission is $10.
