STARKVILLE, Miss.–Mississippi State’s University Chorale will present “Rejoice & Reflect II: Celebrating African-American History through Music” Feb. 19.
The free concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories on campus.
This year’s event will pay tribute to eight African-American women including Marion Anderson, Queen Latifah, Condoleezza Rice, Shirley Chisholm and others.
The 103 MSU student members will sing stirring arrangements of African-American spirituals and gospel music, interspersed with short readings about the lives of these remarkable women.
