Northeast Campus Country schedules auditions

BOONEVILLE, Miss. – Northeast Mississippi Community College’s Campus Country will hold auditions on Saturday, April 13 in the Hines Hall Auditorium on the Northeast Booneville campus.

Campus Country, Northeast’s country music student ensemble, will open auditions for the 2013-14 version of the group at 9 a.m.

Spots are available for vocalists, acoustic and electric guitar, bass, piano, drum set and any other instrument suited to country music.

Northeast’s Campus Country plays four showtimes during the academic year – two in the fall and two in the spring – along with a variety of events throughout Northeast’s five-county area.

Dunn and the 2012-13 version of Campus Country had the honor of opening for the Kentucky Headhunters at the Prentiss County Agri-Center on Saturday, October 20, 2012.

Northeast’s Campus Country has been a springboard for professional country music acts such as Jonathan Singleton who co-wrote hit songs such as “Don’t” and “Watching Airplanes” along with a variety of other artists that have gone on to have successful music careers.

Scholarships are available for full-time Northeast students.
