Tupelo Plans Resurrection Run, Weekend Events

TUPELO, Miss.—Tupelo’s third annual Resurrection Run 5K/Walk begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Robin’s Field, located next to Church Street School. The scenic course travels through Highland Circle and other adjacent neighborhoods. The one-mile fun run and walk begins at 9:30 a.m. on the track at Robin’s Field.

Register at www.racesonline.com through March 28 or download a registration form at www.fbctupelo.org. The entry fee is $20 through March 29 and $30 on race day. Proceeds benefit the church’s various mission projects.

All participants will receive a race T-shirt and goodie bag. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place 5K male and female finishers. Drawings will be held for a grand prize for one adult and one child, and several door prizes will be awarded.

A free Community Easter Egg Hunt will follow at 10 a.m. at Robin’s Field, and children will enjoy inflatables, games, face painting and more. Families are invited to enjoy a free barbecue lunch beginning at 10:30 a.m.

At 7 a.m. Sunday, March 31. First Baptist Church will sponsor a Resurrection Sunrise Celebration at Robin’s Field.
