EX-NFL Player Charged In Pontotoc County

PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI) — A former first round NFL draft pick is now facing felony drug charges in Pontotoc County.

30 year old Peria Jerry was arrested Thursday afternoon after deputies found around four ounces of marijuana in his car during a traffic stop. The former Ole Miss and Atlanta Falcons star is charged with possession of a controlled substance. Jerry retired from the NFL after the 2013 season.
