Feds To Review Lee County Emergency Landing

GUNTOWN, Miss. (AP) – Federal investigators were expected in Guntown Monday to start an investigation into the emergency landing of plane on U.S. Highway 45 Sunday night.

Guntown police and fire officials say the pilot landed the plane due to engine trouble and that there were no injuries. The incident occurred about 8 p.m.

The Highway Patrol shut down the road until a wrecker towed the plane to a nearby airport.

Officials say there were no vehicles in the path of the Cessna 150 plane when it landed safely.
