TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – It was a perfect night to take balloon ride.

And that’s what visitors to Tupelo’s Ballard Park did Saturday night at the fourth annual Up Up and Away Hot Air Balloon Festival, hosted by Tupelo Preparatory Christian School, and partially funded by the Tupelo Convention and Visitors Bureau.

People waited in line for tethered rides and the kids enjoyed seeing the balloons grace the skies of Tupelo.

There was plenty of food and music to go along with the main attraction.

Because of wind conditions these big balloons normally can only be put up early in the morning or early in the evening.
