High pressure is going to be in control of our weather for the next few days which mean no major issues are expected. High school and college football will not be affected by Mother Nature this week and that has to be a relief for those of you who got soaked last Friday and Saturday. We are watching a front for late in the weekend and early next week but our computer models are not in agreement at the current time. The front may stall just of our north or it may push on through. It’s a tough call but we are going to keep rain chances in the forecast for the time being until the picture becomes more clear.
Tonight: Areas of low clouds and fog may redevelop in some locations. Lows will be in the low 60s with light wind.
Friday: Some spots may have low clouds and fog to start the day but that should quickly go away. All areas are going to be mostly sunny during the afternoon and high temperatures should be in the mid 80s. Conditions for high school football look great with comfortable 70s and mostly clear skies.
Friday Night: There will be lots of stars shining overhead. Low clouds and fog do not look like a problem at this point. Temperatures will dip into the upper 50s.
Saturday: We are going to have a picture perfect start to the weekend! Expect sunny skies and warm afternoon temperatures in the mid 80s. Weather will not be a factor for the Ole Miss / Alabama game in Tuscaloosa Saturday evening. Temperatures will be in the low 80s at kickoff but they will cool into the low 70s by the 4th quarter.
Sunday: Skies will be sunny to start out the day but clouds will increase during the afternoon as a cold front approaches. We can’t rule out some showers or storms late in the day but it all depends on the speed and strength of the front coming our way.
