Former MSU Student Charged with LSD Possession, Intent to Sell

MADISON COUNTY, Miss. — The man believed to be bringing LSD to Starkville and selling it to students at Mississippi State University has been arrested.

19-year old Kaleb Chhabra is charged with possession, with intent to distribute synthetic LSD.

The former MSU student has posted a 40-thousand dollar bond in Madison County.

Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker says Chhabra was ordering the synthetic LSD over the internet.  The drugs were then delivered to Madison.  Authorities say the suspect would allegedly bring the drugs up to Starkville to sell.

At the time of his arrest, deputies recovered 700 hits of LSD.  The street value is nearly $8 per hit.

Sheriff Tucker says Chhabra is connected to the LSD overdose case of 22-year old Thomas Parker Rodenbaugh.

Previously, Starkville Police charged 21-year old Skylar Noel O’Kelly with manslaughter and possession of a controlled substance in that case.

Police also arrested 19-year old Daylin Deveaeux O’Kelly on one count of possession.

More arrests are expected.
