Former Pontotoc Furniture Exec Headed To Prison

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — The former Chief Financial Officer for Miss Eaton Furniture in Pontotoc is going to prison.

William Dewey Harrison of Sun City Arizona was sentenced to 51 months in federal prison for income tax evasion. Federal prosecutors say while working at the Pontotoc company, Harrison siphoned off $600 thousand in company money. Harrison also pocketed employee tax withholdings rather than paying those funds to the government. Harrison was ordered to pay the IRS $2,312,353.69 in restitution.
