Free Pets in Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) – It’s never been a better time to take home a dog or cat from the Aberdeen shelter.

Starting Wednesday (7-24), and for the next week, you can adopt an animal free of charge.

That pet will be spayed or neutered and up to date on its shots.

The no-kill shelter is overcrowded with dogs of all sizes, puppies, cats and kittens.

If you are a responsible person, who loves animals, you might need to take a trip to Aberdeen.

Full-time volunteer, Dianna Stargell explains, ” We want our animals to have a good home, and we don’t want overcrowding, and it’s important to find homes for these animals, because some of these have been here so long.”

The free adoptions run through July 31st.
