Video: French Camp Hosts Annual Harvest Festival

FRENCH CAMP, Miss. (WCBI) —  Friends and family gathered at the annual Harvest Festival in French Camp, Saturday.

The Harvest Festival is a 63-year-old tradition that still attracts large crowds.

For the past 60 years, on the second Saturday of October, residents come together to celebrate life together.

The highlight of the event is the quilt and craft auction.

Proceeds of the auction benefit local churches and the French Camp Academy

“It’s kind of a community event.  It brings both the school and the academy and the local community together and then, of course, all the churches together in support of their mission,” said Kevin O’Brien, with French Camp  Academy.

Other highlights of the harvest fest include tasty food and music.
