French Camp Teen Dies in Montgomery County Accident

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A French Camp family is in mourning for the second time in a month.

State troopers say 17-year-old Miracle Faith Donahoo was killed when her car spun out of control Monday morning and crashed into a tree on the driver’s side.

Montgomery County Deputy Coroner, James Waggoner, says Donahoo was southbound on Highway 413 south of Kilmichael when she lost control of her Toyota. She was on her way home from a Kilmichael store when the accident happened at about 11:20 a.m.

She was not wearing a seat belt. Visitation is from 5 to 8 Wednesday night at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona. The funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday at Oliver Chapel.

She will be buried in Community Baptist Church Cemetery on Highway 407 near Kilmichael.

Her father died last month after an illness.

Rev. Randy Dees and Rev. Jerry McNeer will officiate the services.

According to her obituary at Oliver Funeral Home, she was born in Grenada on Oct. 2, 1996, to Roy and Darlene Steed Donahoo. She was a member of Community Baptist Church and was active in the Hebron Baptist Church Youth Group.

She enjoyed babysitting, loved to sing, and was dedicated to her family and friends.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Elsie Steed of French Camp and Ed and Willie Mae Donahoo of Poplar Creek.

Survivors include her mother, Darlene Steed Donahoo of French Camp; sister, Tammy Hubbard (Rodney) of Edwards; nephews, Dillon Reed and Rod Hubbard of Edwards; and special friends, Carley McClain of French Camp and Emily Bain of Carmack.

Pallbearers will be Cory Tyler, Colby Varnes, Charles Steed, Sawyer Armstrong, Justin Riddell, and Chris Burrell.
