Saturday is looking like it will be mostly sunny and pleasant all day long. This is good news for the Amory Railroad Festival, the Columbus Pilgrimage, and the 2013 Grove Bowl. Afternoon highs will be in the mid 70s and we’ll have a light southeast breeze blowing across the area.
An upper level disturbance will cross the region on Sunday it will give us the chance of more showers and storms. The farther south and east you live in our area the better chance you will have at seeing rain. Temperatures should be in the 70s but clouds and rain could keep some spots cooler.
Next week will be warm and humid once again. Several computer models suggest that we may have another severe weather event anytime between next Wednesday night and next Thursday night. Suffice to say, we’ll be keeping a close eye on the situation as it evolves.
