The heat, humidity, and scattered afternoon storms aren’t going anywhere during the upcoming week. Be sure to stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and take plenty of breaks if you will be outside in this heat!
Friday: As the first week of August comes to a close, we will see afternoon highs will be in the low to mid 90s. With the humidity, though, the heat index will be in the triple digits. Scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms will be possible again and could last into the evening. The biggest threat with these will be heavy rainfall and lightning. Most, if not all, storms will be gone by 11 PM. Overnight lows will stay in the sticky, warm mid 70 range.
Saturday: More of the same as heat, humidity, and scattered storms will stick around. We can expect another scorcher with highs will be in the low to mid 90s that feel like the 100s. Rain will be most likely during the afternoon and early evening but scattered in nature.
Sunday: We are keeping the rain chances at around 30% for now, and highs are expected to be in the low to mid 90s again. Overnight, the Perseid Meteor Shower will peak under partly cloudy skies, so hopefully we can catch a glimpse! Low temperatures will fall into the low 70s.
