We currently tracking two systems– a cold front and Tropical Storm Karen in the Gulf. Though Karen looks to take a hard right turn on landfall, the track has been drifting slowly westward with each update. The combination of these two rainmakers will leave us expecting 1-2″ in NE Mississippi between Saturday evening and Sunday evening. Beyond that, fall-like conditions seek to return to our forecast!
Friday Night: High school football games and Starkville’s Bulldog Bash look to stay dry tonight. Comfortable temperatures in the 70s will linger around under partly cloudy skies, and overnight lows will drop to the mid 60s.
Saturday: We should stay mostly dry during the daylight hours with partly cloudy skies. High temperatures will top out in the low to mid 80s. Clouds will increase during the late afternoon and evening as the cold front get closer to our area. Rain chances will be highest in the late evening, but there is a chance for rain at the game. Be sure to pack your rain gear just in case!
Sunday: The best chance for rain looks to be overnight Saturday and early Sunday morning. After the cold front passes, we will see cooler temperatures
