A frost advisory has been issued for parts of Northern Mississippi tonight. The combination of light winds, mostly clear skies and temperatures falling into the mid-low 30s could result in areas of frost across the viewing area. Counties included in this advisory: Calhoun, Chickasaw, Itawamba, Lafayette, Lee, Monroe, Prentiss, Pontotoc, Tishomingo, Union and Yalobusha. Areas not in the advisory may still see frost especially in low lying and wind sheltered areas.
One factor that may prevent us from seeing frost will be an area of clouds that will drift through the viewing area tonight. With the presence of this disturbance, clouds may be thick enough to blanket the viewing area and limit temperatures to the upper 30s.
Either way, you should cover your plants or bring them inside if you are concerned.
