STARKVILLE, Miss (WCBI) – A special program at Mississippi State University that provides cognitive instruction and therapy to children with special needs is in need of help.

The T.K. Martin Center serves the early intervention needs of children developmental disabilities.

Children between the ages of birth and five qualify for the program.

T.K. Martin is funded through several state agencies and has recently experienced budget cuts.

The staff and parents are hosting a one mile fun run Friday to help raise money.

The event starts at 5:30pm. Individual registration is $12. It’s $30 for families of 3 or more.
