Funeral Set for ICC Baseball Player Killed in Wreck

FULTON, Miss. (WCBI) – Funeral arrangements have been made for an Itawamba Community College baseball player killed in a car wreck this weekend.

Zack Carpenter – who’s from Belmont, Mississippi – was a freshman secondary education major at ICC.

Officials say he was killed after losing control of his car on John Rankin Highway shortly before 2 a.m., Saturday.

Itawamba County deputies are still investigating the wreck.

Carpenter’s funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Fairview Holy Church of Christ.

His baseball teammates will serve as honorary pallbearers.
