Funeral Wednesday for Long-Time Iuka Port Director
IUKA, Miss. (AP) – Funeral services are Wednesday for longtime Yellow Creek Port Authority Director Eugene Bishop, who died at his home over the weekend. He was 69.
Tishomingo County Coroner Mack Wilemon says Bishop died of natural causes sometime Friday evening. He was found in his Iuka home on Saturday.
Bishop served as director of the port authority for more than 23 years. He also served as a board member on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Council, where he was president in 2005 and 2006.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ozark Cemetery in Marietta.
