After most places saw at least an inch of rain on Sunday, Monday won’t be as much of a soaker. However, scattered rain will be around through the day and skies will stay overcast.
You have a better chance of staying rain free the farther north that you live. Areas like Oxford, Pontotoc, Tupelo, and Fulton are in the “possibly rain free” zone. Monroe, Chickasaw, Calhoun, and Grenada are on a dividing line. Rain looks a lot more likely in counties along and south of Hwy 82.
Though temperatures are in the middle 50s this Monday morning, they’ll fall to the low 50s by this afternoon.
Tuesday brings a slightly higher chance for rain, but we begin to dry out on Wednesday, and cooler conditions return for the weekend.
