Guntown Woman Charged with Meth Possession

Guntown, Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) — A traffic stop in Guntown leads to the arrest of a Guntown woman on drug charges.

Officers says Jessica Aldridge, 29, of Guntown was stopped Thursday evening for careless driving. During the stop, Officers believed Aldridge to be driving under the influence of a substance that impaired her ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Officers conducted a search of Aldridge’s vehicle and located drug paraphernalia. Officers say during the booking process at Lee County Jail, methamphetamine was found on Aldridge.

Aldridge has been charged with possession of methamphetamine along with misdemeanor traffic violations. Aldridge’s bond was set at $50,000 by Municipal Court Judge David Daniels and the case is expected to be presented to the next grand jury.
