Video: Hot Halloween Costumes

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – There are only days left to find that perfect costume to wear on the Halloween holiday. Folks are scampering to find out what’s hot and what’s not.

It’s that time of year again. And it won’t just be ghost and goblins you’ll see hitting the streets for their favorite candies. And it’s not just kids looking for the perfect costume.

Halloween has become a cash cow racking in almost $6 billions on costumes alone and another $300 million on candy. With so much to choose from how do you decide what to wear?

Connie Wilsey with Costume Party says, “We buy from several different companies and they keep us abreast of what’s hot and what the trends are.”

Willsey also heads to Houston Texas every year to the big costume convention to see what’s the latest and greatest. Wether you want to purchase or rent, Costume Party has it all. From The latest in accessories to masks there is something for everyone.

According to Willsey,  “Super heros are still popular. Decades , 20′s, 60′s 70′s.

Trends change every year and staying ahead of the curve is only half the battle of being successful.

Willsey says, “I just had a customer wanting to be a character from the movie Sinister. A movie that I have never seen but we were able to look at the picture and piece the items together.”

During the off season Connie works with theatre groups and specializes in theme parties.

“We’re here all year around. We think about costumes everyday.”

So what ever you decide to dress up like this Halloween holiday make sure it’s goblin approved and scaretastic.
