Hamilton Man Charged With Burglary

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A Hamilton man has been charged with stealing copper wire and tubing to sell for scrap.

Monroe County sheriff’s investigators say 31-year-old Adam Welch is charged with burglary and malicious mischief. They say that between late October and the first week of November, he broke into a building on Lackey Road and cut and removed the wire and tubing, causing considerable damage to the building.

No bond has been set.
