UNDATED, Miss. (WCBI)-Teams from the Red Cross and Salvation Army have been deployed down to Hattiesburg to help with the devastation that remains behind.

The E-F 4 tornado tore through Hattiesburg leaving thousands without power and many without homes.

The Red Cross and Salvation Army are assisting with food, shelter, clothing, health services, and emotional-support.

But both services are in need local support.

If you want to contribute to the Red Cross or Salvation Army you can go to their websites or text the word RED CROSS to 90999 to make a ten dollar donation to the Red Cross and the word STORM to 80888 to make a donation to the Salvation Army.
