Hearing Set for Okolona Officer

OKOLONA, Miss. (WCBI) – An Okolona police officer could face charges next month after a formal hearing.

According to MHP Corprole Chris Turnipseed, Trooper James Burrow pulled over Okolona Police Investigator Ramona Robertson Friday December 7, 2012 for possible DUI and conducted a field sobriety test, but no formal charges were given.

A probable cause hearing is set for February 4, 2013 at 2:00pm at the Chickasaw County Courthouse in Okolona before charges if any will can be issued.

Details of the case have been turned over to District Attorney Ben Creekmore, who handles prosecutions in Chickasaw County.

The Daily Journal reports, a dispatcher with the Oklolona Police Department says, Robertson has not been suspended and as of Friday remains on the job.
