Partly cloudy skies will again stick with us on Wednesday. Highs will approach 95, but the heat index will be near 105. The same summer “beat the heat” tips that we talk about in June and July still apply. Drink plenty of water and try to limit your time outdoors during the peak heating hours.
The best chance for rain relief will come in the northern part of our viewing area–a good bit north of Hwy 82 according to two reliable computer models. Coverage is only expected to be around 20%.
A cold front will come through Saturday morning to increase our rain chances. Once we get through the scattered rain on Saturday morning and possibly afternoon, late Saturday and especially Sunday should feel really nice.
