MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY (WCBI) – Mississippi State students take a break from study to kick off the holiday season with the annual Holiday In The Junction.

The Student Association hosted the event and provided free t-shirts, hot chocolate, and cookies to students.

University’s president Dr. Mark Keenum did the honors of lighting the Christmas tree.

“It’s great time, we’ve got Christmas music and hot chocolate so you can just mingle and hangout with your friends before you go hit the books, said student Sarah Douglas McCall.

“Honestly, I think it’s just about getting the whole campus together. There’s not a lot of time especially right now because everyone is cramming for tests and stuff. It’s fun to get everybody from all different kinds of groups on campus to all just come together,” said student Vijay Kannuthurai.

The student association hopes to continue ‘Holiday In The Junction’  for years to come.
