Can you believe we have made it to the 4th of July already? My how time flies when you are having fun! The dry air that has dominated our area recently will take a back seat to tropical moisture during the coming days. Rain chances will be greatest between Thursday and Saturday.
Wednesday Night: Skies will be partly cloudy but there is a chance of a few showers and storms mainly across west Alabama. Lows will be in the mid to upper 60s.
4th of July: Showers and storms remain in the forecast and once again they will favor the eastern half of our viewing area. It looks like locations east of US 45 will have the greatest potential for rain while areas to the west may not see much activity at all. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s. Keep your fingers crossed that things will settle down by the time its fireworks time.
Friday – Sunday: Tropical moisture will remain in place and that spells a continued threat of showers and storms area wide. Pockets of heavy rain will be possible during this time, especially Friday and Saturday. If we’re lucky the rain chances will lower just a bit on Sunday. Highs will be in the 80s while lows will be in the low 70s.
