High temperatures will stay in the low-mid 90s for the rest of this week. With winds meandering out of the south for the next couple of days, the heat index will be even higher. Be sure to stay hydrated!
Today: Just like yesterday, most of us will stay dry. However, there’s a slight chance of rain this afternoon. A few summertime showers or thunderstorms will try to develop during the heat of the day.
Tonight: Any storms that develop will quickly dissipate as the sun sets. A few clouds will linger overnight. By morning temperatures will be in the low 70s. It will certainly be a muggy start to the day tomorrow.
Wednesday:Rain chances not looking all that impressive. We’re thinking less than 20%. A mix of sun and clouds can be expected again with afternoon highs topping out into the mid 90s. It will feel more like 100+ when we factor in the humidity which means stay hydrated if you’re going to be outside for a long period of time and be sure to apply sunscreen! It doesn’t take long before you get burned.
Looking ahead: The highest rain chances on the 7-Day planner come Saturday and Sunday. That is still several days out so we’ll fine tune the forecast over the next few days.
For our Omaha weather followers, Tuesday’s forecast to feature mostly sunny skies, and Wednesday will feature a plethora of sun.
