As expected, any rain chances will dwindle after sunset, and we expect variably cloudy skies overnight.
Wednesday: With a south wind pumping up moisture out of the Gulf, it’s going to be very muggy. Once you couple that with the mix of sun and clouds, the heat index may rise to 100 degrees. To make things a little more harsh, the rain chance is hardly worth mentioning. Be sure to stay hydrated, and try to limit your time outdoors. Use your sunscreen and try to take breaks from any strenuous work.
Thursday: The rain chance will increase slightly, and there is a slight chance of a strong storm into the afternoon or early evening. Highs will again be in the middle 90s with a heat index near 100.
Friday through Tuesday: Each day features a 30%-40% chance for scattered heavy rain and storms. Highs will still hover around 90. Morning lows may drop down to the upper 60s for the beginning of next week.
