Video: House Speaker to Gun Makers — ‘Come On Down’

JACKSON, Miss. — Speaker of the Mississippi House of Representatives Philip Gunn today sent a letter to 14 gun manufacturing companies located in states from Colorado to New York encouraging them to relocate to Mississippi in light of national criticism against the industry.

“Gun manufacturers are under attack in anti-Second Amendment states,” said Speaker Gunn. “Today, I wrote a letter to CEOs of leading firearm manufacturers urging them to relocate to Mississippi where their industry and jobs will be appreciated.”

Speaker Gunn and the Mississippi House of Representatives have passed numerous measures during the 2013 Session protecting the rights and privacy of gun owners.

“We need more businesses to establish home base in Mississippi,” he said. “We can provide these companies with an educated workforce, a superior quality of life, an evolving education system for their children, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing we support their industry.”

RND Manufacturing, Inc.—Colorado

Colt Manufacturing Company—Connecticut

Charter Arms—Connecticut

LWRC International, LLC—Maryland

Remington Arms Company, LLC—North Carolina
