Houston Solar Team Brings Home 14th Title

HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) – The Houston Solar Car Team has done it again.

For the 14th year in a row they have been victorious in beating all the high school solar car teams in the nation.

The Sundancer crossed the finish line in Austin, Texas, on Thursday.

Twenty-five teams competed in the national competition this year. This year’s racing format changed to include two days of closed circuit racing and two days of road racing from Fort Worth to Austin.

The team is expected home Sunday afternoon.
