By LaMonica Peters

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Nearly 400 scouts met in Starkville this weekend for the Boy Scouts of America’s annual gathering.

Scouts from throughout the Southeast attended the weekend retreat.

The meeting was held for The Order of the Arrow, the Boys Scouts’ National Honor Society. Members of the group are elected by their peers.

Six lodges from Mississippi, Alabama and Florida gathered to get leadership training, participate in competitions and simply have fun with other scouts.

This year’s conclave was hosted at Camp Seminole by the Pushmataha Area Council.
