“Autumn is a big recruit for us,” Kirk commented. “She has been recruited and offered by a lot of four-year schools so we are very fortunate to have her coming to ICC. She has a lot of power and can play a lot of different positions which is very valuable for us.”

Bonner batted .416 with 35 RBI on 37 hits with 10 doubles, six home runs and 16 walks for a .509 on-base percentage to go along with her team-best .730 slugging percentage. She successfully stole 13 bases on 13 attempts to earn Most RBI and Most Home Runs awards.

“It’s really exciting,” Bonner said about signing with the two-time defending Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) North Division champs. “I’m really ready for all the thrills of meeting the team and playing ball. ICC really feels like one big happy family and I’ve loved it since the first day I came here. I visited a lot of other schools but [ICC] was the one that I set my standard by.”

As a junior, she batted .369 with 34 RBI on 41 hits with 14 doubles and three homers while stealing 27 bases and only being thrown out once. “I think Autumn is ready the collegiate level of play,” said Fayette High School head coach Wendy McGuire. “I think she bringing to ICC a lot of great attributes with her leadership, her encouragement of other players and also her tenacity and love for the game… and I think she is going to do great at ICC.”
