ICC Mobile Lab Allows For Career Exploration

PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI) — Itawamba Community College is giving the public an opportunity to explore careers in modern manufacturing technology.

The ICC mobile lab is parked at the Pontotoc Bodock Festival, allowing visitors to get a hands-on view of the needs in the field of modern manufacturing.

The 53-foot trailer has six stations, including robotics, 3-D printing and a complete high-tech video system.

Educators say they want to inform the public about these careers and the training ICC offers.

“We’re just really trying to let the public know what high-tech, high demand, high paying careers are out there now. And how they can get involved with that, how they can become a part of that and be trained to get some fantastic jobs in the future,” said Larry Boggs.
