ICC Punter Named MACJC Special Teams Player of the Week

FULTON, Miss. (WCBI/LetsGoICC.com) – Itawamba Community College sophomore punter Jeb Millender has been selected as the MACJC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the No. 19 Indians’ 37-13 loss to No. 3 Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

Millender had six punts for 216 yards for an average of 36 yards per kick with a long of 42 yards and four kicks downed inside the 20-yard line.

The Pontotoc native led the nation with 26 kicks downed inside the 20-yard line as a freshman.

ICC began the season ranked preseason No. 19 in the NJCAA Top 20. The Indians had one of their best seasons in school history in 2013 and are working with a new head coach in 2014 in former defensive coordinator Sean Cannon.

The Indians (0-1, 0-0 MACJC North) will travel to No. 10 Jones County Junior College on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and the game can be heard on WAFM 95.7 FM and watched online at LetsGoICC.com starting with the Davis Ford Pregame Show at 6:40 p.m.
